How do I get
started?
You may need a design and/or a set of drawings or blue prints..
Even if the drawings do not reflect the entire scope of the work,
you will be able to establish a level playing field for evaluating
and choosing your contractor – “apples to apples”, and to
formulate a realistic budget.
Who procures the permits?
This is a good question because there is no set rule. It depends
on whom you pay to procure them. Some times the planner gets
them, sometimes the contractor gets them and sometimes an owner
gets them. We usually get them our selves unless it is a
difficult township or city in which case we use an expediter.
The cost depends on the level of difficulty.
How does UPSI handle change orders?
The
bids we submit are comprehensive and easy to understand, but
occasional issues arise on the job that warrants a change to the
original written agreement. A price is quoted for any changes and
only performed after being authorized.

How long will it take to schedule my particular job?
We
